Climbing Courses is owned and operated by Hatt Adventures, one of the leading outdoor adventure providers in the South East. We are a longstanding company established in 2005 with a reputation for providing high quality courses and experiences. We love to teach and are passionate about inspiring people to be active and to enjoy the great outdoors. We are an adventurous, experienced, highly qualified and friendly bunch who love to climb, hike, kayak, surf, run, cycle - basically, do anything active!
Being local to Southern Sandstone we visit the crags a lot. We take trips out to the rocks regularly to enjoy a spot of climbing and we also teach our beginner and intermediate rock climbing courses on Southern Sandstone. After a long history of climbing in the South East and much exploration of the crags, we thought that we would use our expertise and share the knowledge that we have on climbing in this area. We noticed that there aren’t many resources available online for people interested in climbing on Southern Sandstone and we hope that this site will help people who want to visit this unique climbing destination.
We are passionate about taking care of the rocks that we climb on, to preserve them for the future. As you will read Southern Sandstone is fragile and extra care is needed in order to look after them. We hope that these pages will raise awareness and increase peoples knowledge of Southern Sandstone, reducing the amount of erosion and damage caused to the rocks so they can be enjoyed for years to come.
Based in Brighton, England, Hatt Adventures also offer charity abseils and a variety of other outdoor sporting activities across the UK, including abseiling, mountaineering and kayaking.
Formed in 2005 by Tom Hatt, we have an excellent reputation as a long-standing outdoor adventure company that provides high quality courses and experiences. We are currently ranked No. 1 on TripAdvisor for activities in Brighton.
As a business we hold safety in high regard and have worked with a number of high profile customers including the BBC, ITV, Countryfile and provide safety services to the television and film industry. As well as this we recently have been entrusted to write the syllabus for the British Stunt Register and assess the trainee stuntmen and women.
